Division 1

Lions A continued their relentless charge towards regaining their division 1 crown after defeating Ravenscroft Panthers B 4-1. Joshua Butler dropped the opening end to Matt Stubbington before powering through in 5 games and he defeated reserve Steve Martin in straight games. Dodd picked up a 7 game win over Stubbington and combined with Butler to win the doubles clash in straight games over the Panthers pairing.

Whistlers C remain 2nd after they powered past Lions D 5-0. Alex Robinson had a tough match with James Rabey and needed 6 games to get the result. His other win against reserve Luke Bichard came in straight games. Dawn Morgan was more comfortable on the evening as she won both of her singles matches in straight games. The Whistlers duo clinched the doubles in straight games.

Lions C moved into 3rd ahead of Whistlers B after their 4-1 victory. Liam Robilliard overturned a 3-1 deficit to defeat Joshua Stacey in 7 before comfortably seeing off Lawrence Stacey in straight games. Paul Hainsworth came back from 3-1 down against Lawrence to win in 7, however he lost to Josh in 5 games. The Lions pair won the doubles in straight games.

Lions B also moved ahead of Whistlers B into 4th spot after their 5-0 rout of Whistlers A. Phil Ogier was comfortable throughout his straight game wins over Mark Pipet and reserve Ian Fitchet. Jez Powell had a tough match with Pipet and needed a deciding 7th game to get the win. He saw off Fitchet 4-0 in his earlier singles match. Ogier and Powell won the doubles in 6 games.

Division 2

Whistlers E are still 4 points clear at the top after this week's 9-1 win over Lions H. Kay Chivers and Ben Foss were unbeaten on the evening as each defeated Dave Finn, Rob Vile and Ken Tucknott. Opie beat Vile and Tucknott, however his 2-1 lead was pegged back by Finn, who won the 4th and 5th games 12-10 to prevent the whitewash. Tucknott and Vile came close to an upset in the doubles, however Chivers and Opie overturned the 2-0 reverse to win in 5.

Division 3

St Pauls B held onto their commanding 7 point lead after their 10-0 drubbing of Lions K. Derek Carter, Brian Le Cras and Keiran Kotecha all defeated Graham Mallett, Jan Priest and Naomi Priest in singles action. Carter and Le Cras came back from 1-2 to defeat Mallett and Jan in a 5 game doubles win.

Division 4

Lions L still lead the way in the 4th division, however their lead is only currently held by games difference over Whistlers L. They were held to a 5-5 draw this week by Whistlers K. Val Guilbert was instrumental in ensuring that he side got a point as she played a part in 4 of the 5 Lions wins. She defeated Shane Cotter, Joe Le Page and Daisy Kershaw in singles matches and also combined with Jenny Powell to win the doubles over Cotter and Le Page in straight games. Powell picked up the pivotal 5th win over Le Page in straight games and was very close to securing a 6th win, losing out to both Cotter and Kershaw in 5 games.

The Lions side do have a game in hand on their nearest rivals.
