Ben Foss won his 3rd consecutive Channel Islands Junior Top 12 with an impressive 6 wins out of 6 at the GTTA Centre on Sunday morning.  Foss made a solid start to the morning and looked comfortable in his early matches, in which he did not drop and end, winning his first five by a 3-0 score.

The last match was always likely to be defining however as it pitted him against Jersey's number one, Leon Pierre.  Pierre was similarly impressive early on, dropping only one end to Guernsey's Corey Brouard.  Foss made the better start, claiming the first game 11-5 before Pierre became more confident in his shot-making and took the initiative to win the next two.  Foss made some tactical changes and switched the angles well to win the 4th game, then came back from 5-1 down in the decider to lead 10-8.  The Jerseyman received well against two Foss serves to claw back to 10-10, though it was to no avail as Foss won the next 2 points to win 11-5, 8-11, 6-11, 11-7, 12-10.

Guernsey's Matthew Casey had a good day, only losing out to Pierre and finished 4th overall behind Jersey's Alfie Sutherland.  Ellis Tomlin also performed well to finish 5th overall, winning 4 matches on the day, but crucially showing good fight to come through some close encounters.  Corey Brouard and Ben Sharp won 3 matches apiece to finish 7th and 8th respectively, with Brouard picking up at least one end in every match.  Reserve player Jonah Ingrouille competed well, despite the very last minute call-up and lack of a warm-up, winning 2 matches and finishing 11th overall.
