Hi Everyone,

Tonight we had 12 tables, 10 of four and 2 of five making a total of 50 players, what a wonderful turn out to finish our final week of summer league.

Well we have our winner Micah Cohen on 80 points with joint runner ups Maija Hansen and Andriy Lyashko both on 77 points.  We hope everyone has had a fun time.  Keith and myself would like to thank everyone who has taken part, also a big thank you to Ben Foote who enters the final match results on the website together with our report and the result list of points.

Table 1 – Josh Stacey, Lawrence Stacey, Joe Bourgaize and Craig Dunning.  Josh dominated the evening winning all of his games with brother Lawrence finishing second.  Craig had a good evening beating Joe and going to deuce in one game against Lawrence and Josh. Table 2 – Phil Ogier decided to join us and get some practice before the season starts, with him was Kennedy Chepkor, Nye Matthew and Andy Gill.  Phil proved to be a little strong for the rest but had a scary moment against Nye just beating him 11-9 in the final game.  Kennedy also played well against Nye but lost 13-15 in the fourth game.

Table 3 – Keith Opie, Micah Cohen, Sam Clark and Kay Chivers.  The first 3 matches went to 5 games with Micah beating Keith, Kay beating Sam and Sam beating Keith.  Kay was tops winning all of her matches with Sam finishing second. Table 4 Terry Trustum, Ben Foote, Gary Willcocks and Brandon Ferbrache.  Brandon was playing exceptionally well with only one of his games going to four against Terry Trustum but Brandon forged through winning all of his games and finishing top with Gary in second place.

Table 5 – Barney Groves, Henri Whitehorne, Ian Le Page and Shaun Mosley.  This was the last table to finish, surprisingly Henri nearly always seems to be on the table that finishes last!!!!  Barney played very well beating Henri in the final game therefore finishing in top position with Henri second.  Shaun had a very good game against Ian beating him 11-7 in the final game. Table 6 – Luke Evans, Albie Lihou, Ken Falla and Juliette Yeaman.  Albie won all of his games except against young Luke where he lost 8-11 in the final game.  Luke also had a tough game against old timer Ken Falla but finally won 11-5 in the 5th game.  Albie and Juliette had a battle with Albie finally coming out tops winning 8-11 in the final game.

Table 7 – Peter Vivian, Shane Cotter, Ian Fitchet and John Wills.  Only one of these games went to 5 between Peter and Ian with Peter finally winning 11-7 in the final game.  Table 8 – Derek Carter, Isla Bretel, Brian Le Cras and Alexis Aquino.  Alexis proved too strong winning all of his games, with Derek finishing second. Table 9 – Ella Le Ber, Sekao Nwako, Lynn Finn and Rolands Tracums.  Sekao proved to be too strong winning all of his games, but had a hard fight against Rolands only winning in the final game.  Rolands had revenge when he beat Lynn 11-8 in the final game.

Table 10 – Olivia Gilbert, Sandra Sebire, Marc Cohen and Jan Priest.  Jan won all of her game fairly comfortably.  Olivia and Marc had quite a battle with Marc eventually winning in the final game. Table 11- Connor Osborne, Judah Nwako, Albert Wickham, Ruth Vaudin and Sabato Folmi.  This was a table of 5 playing best of 3 games.  Four of the matches went to 3 games with Ruth finishing first and Judah in second place. Table 12 – Andriy Lyashko, Maija Hansen, Jovy Aquino, Sam Cox and Steph Evans, also another table of 5 players.  Maija finished first and Andriy second which made them both runners up finishing on the same amount of points.

Week 11

Results   |   League Table

Hi Everyone

Tonight we had 12 tables, 11 of four and 1 of three making a total of 47 players.  We have one week left and it is difficult to know who will win.  At the moment Micah is in top position with 80 points then Maija Hansen and Kennedy Chepkor on 74 but it could all change after next week and also with 2 weeks points to be deducted, it will be exciting.

Table 1 – Nye Matthew, Andy Gill, Josh Stacey and Andy Ferbrache.  Josh proved to be the strongest but had to work hard against Andy Gill who took him to five games. Table 2 – Kay Chivers, Lawrence Stacey, Jez Powell and Joe Bourgaize.  Lawrence proved to be the strongest link, although was very lucky against Joe beating him in the 5th game.  Kay was the weakest link only winning one game.

Table 3 – Shaun Mosley, Steve Ozanne, Craig Dunning and Gary Willcocks.  This was a very difficult table for Shaun who played well to take a game off Gary and only lost a second on deuce.  Gary was unlucky not to beat Craig losing in the 5th game.    Craig finished top winning all of his games with Steve in second place. Table 4 Juliette Yeaman, Micah Cohen, Kennedy Chepkor and Brandon Ferbrache.  Kennedy won all of his matches but had to work hard against Brandon who was beaten in the fourth game.   There was a very close match between Juliette and Micah with Juliette just winning 14-12 in the 5th after being 2 games down.

Table 5 – Keith Opie, Alexis Aquino, Ian Fitchet and Terry Trustum.  Keith finished first beating Terry who came second but Fitch played well to take a game off both of them. Table 6 – Marc Cohen, Jan Priest, Ben Foote and Barnaby Groves.  Ben and Barney both proved to be too strong for Marc and Jan which was to be expected.  Ben must have played extremely well to beat Barney 11-9 in the 5th game.

Table 7 – Maija Hansen, Andriy Lyashko, Maurice James and Henri Whitehorne.  Henri and Mo were the two strongest players with Henri beating Mo to finish first.  But there was a very good match between Maija and Andriy with Maija coming out top winning 11-9 in the 5th game. Table 8 – Jovy Aquino, Avenash Shamloll, Cameron Powell and Peter Vivian.  Avenash played well winning all of his matches.  Peter played well to beat Cameron in 4 games.

Table 9 – Shane Cotter, Derek Carter, Lynn Finn and Rolands Tracums.  This was a very busy table with 3 matches going to 5 games.  Shane won all of his matches beating Derek in the 5th game which meant Derek finished second.  Lynn and Rolands had a good match with Lynn winning in the 5th game. Table 10 – Ella Le Ber, Sandra Sebire, Isla Bretel and Judah Nwako.  Young Isla did well to finish top but had a hard match against Judah just winning 14-12 in the final game.   Isla also beat Ella in the 5th game.  Ella played well to beat Sandra 11-9 in the final game.

Table 11 – Olivia Gilbert, Sekao Nwako, Sabato Folmi and Ruth Vaudin.  Sekao proved to be too strong for the rest winning all of his games.  Olivia had to work hard to finish second just beating Sabato 11-9 in the final game. Table 12 – This was a table of 3 which meant they played best of 7 games, Simon Carter, Connor Osborne and Steph Evans.  Simon finished top but had to work hard against Connor beating him in the 5th game.

Tonight’s winning tables are:

Table 1 Josh Stacey. 2 Lawrence Stacey. 3 Craig Dunning. 4 Kennedy Chepkor. 5 Keith Opie. 6 Ben Foote.

7 Henri Whitehorne. 8 Avenash Shamloll. 9 Shane Cotter. 10 Isla Bretel. 11 Sekao Nwako. 12 Simon Carter.

Hi Everyone

Tonight we had 9 tables, 7 of four and 2 of five making a total of 38 players.  I think this is the lowest number of people we have had since we started in June, probably due to the West Show and some of our youngsters away in Worthing on a training camp.

Table 1 – Nye Matthew proved how much he has improved by beating Joe Bourgaize, Craig Dunning and just losing to Steve 8-11 in the 5th which meant he still finished top.  Joe also had a tough match against Nye but lost 9-11 in the 5th. Table 2 – Andy Gill (banana man) was the star beating Keith Opie, Dawn Morgan and Kennedy Chepkor.  The hardest match was between Kennedy and Dawn with Dawn eventually winning 11-5 in the 5th.

Table 3 – This table went on forever with 5 of the 6 matches going to 5 games between Kay Chivers, Henri Whitehorne, Andy Ferbrache and Gary Willcocks.  Kay and Andy both finished with 8 points but Andy beat Kay 12-10 in the 5th game therefore finishing in first place.Table 4 – Ben Foote, Shaun Mosley, Luke Evans and Cameron Powell.  Luke played very well to finish top of this table beating Cameron and Shaun and losing to Ben in the 5th game.  But I must say Ben also did well as he is recovering from a shoulder injury, but Shaun proved to be a bit too strong for him therefore finishing in second place.

Table 5 – Ken Falla one of our very senior vets played very well to beat Peter Vivian, Juliette Yeaman and Shane Cotter.  Juliette beat Peter therefore finished in second place. Table 6 – Alexis Aquino, Micah Cohen, Lynn Finn and Sandra Sebire.  Micah did very well winning all of his matches again to keep him top of the leader board with only two weeks left.

Table 1 - We had some very good games once again between Jamie Ferbrache, Andy Gill, Joe Bourgaize and Craig Dunning.   Three of the matches went to 5 but despite everyone giving Jamie a good game, well apart from Andy losing 3 straight, Jamie still remains top, who is going to knock him off.  Come on Andy eat more bananas. Table 2 – Dawn Morgan showed everyone how determined she can be winning all of her games against Barney Groves, Brandon Ferbrache and Nye Matthew.  But young Barney also showed how determined he can be and only lost to Dawn in the 5th game.

Table 6 – Mark Fenwick proved himself too strong for this group winning two of his games 3 straight apart from Keith Opie who lost in the 4th.  The other players were Richard Wellfair and Alexis Aquino.  Keith also won the rest of his games 3 straight, but the battle was between Richard and Alexis with Alexis winning in the 5th.

Table 7 – Young Aiden Ozanne played well winning all of his matches against Ollie Sparks, Sian Craig and Shaun Mosley. Table 8 – On this table we had a mixture of very old with Mo James to very young Isla Bretel, also playing was young Albie Lihou and Henri Whitehorne.  But although Isla is about 68yrs younger than Mo his experience obviously helped him and he won in 3 games.  Against Albie it was a little different and Albie pulled out all the stops against Mo and beat him in the 5th game.  Henri finished second losing to Albie in the 5th.

Table 9 – The very much experience of Ken Falla helped him to win all his games against Ian Fitchet, Sandra Sebire and Andriy Lyashko.  His hardest match was probably against his comrade Ian Fitchet winning 11-8 in the fourth game. Table 10 – Brian Le Cras and Derek Carter also very experienced veterans overcame Jovi Aquino and Maija Hansen.    But Brian beat Derek in the fourth game therefore winning his group. Table 1 - We had some very good games between Jamie Ferbrache Jez Powell, Nye Matthew and young Oskar Cleal.  But it was Jamie who came out top for the second week running but only beating Nye in the final game.  Although, Oskar must have played extremely well as he beat Jamie 13-11 in the 5th game.  Table 2 – Andy Gill with us for the first time won his table but on his journey lost to young Shelby Timms 9-11 in the 5th, well done Shelby.
