Island side beat champions but just miss promotion
The Sportingbet Guernsey table tennis team have just missed out on promotion to the Premier Division of the British League.
Requiring a second place finish to make the play-offs the team of Garry Dodd (pictured), Alice Loveridge, Olly Langlois and Phil Ogier went agonisingly close.
The difference between finishing second and third was ultimately decided by the outcome of a few five-set matches.
