Bankfield 'ITC II provided even less resistance than Derwent in the final match of the weekend and all games were won within four ends. Robinson cruised to straight game wins over Paulina Orzechowska and Dapo Balogun while Butler overcame Halogun in straight games and Andy Eagles in four. Stacey also needed four ends to get past Eagles, but he earned a resounding straight game win over Ryan Lunn. Foss was tested the most during the fixture as 4 games were required during his wins over Orzechowska and Lunn.
In contrast, the Ravenscroft II side got off to the worst possible start during a surprise 8-0 whitewash by second placed side Brighton City 'ITC in Division Four South. A large factor in the heavy defeat was the strong line-up utilised by the Brighton side, consisting of a Portuguese male player, Pedro Santos and German female, Raffaela Kurz at the bottom of their order. Their strength was fully evident during their afternoon fixture where they obtained an 8-0 win over the previously undefeated leaders London Academy III.
Paul Hainsworth came the closest to picking up a win during his five-set losses against number 1 Harry Mccarney and Kurz, having led 2-1 and 2-0 respectively. The local side made no mistakes during their afternoon fixture against Parkstone, whom they defeated 5-3. Hainsworth made sure of his wins on this occasion as he breezed past Jason Essex and Gareth Edmunds without loss.
Dawn Morgan was another player to go through the match unbeaten due to her five-game win over Edmunds and straight game win over Elliott Clarke. It was Liam Robilliard who picked up the fifth win during his straight game win over Clarke.
The weekend's results leave the side in fourth place in the division, however they find themselves just four points behind leaders London Academy III, which is the same position as the start of the weekend. With two teams above them in the table left to play in March, including the Academy, there is still time for a flourishing finish.
Doug Bartle was another player to test Stacey and the Sarnian needed to overcome a 2-0 deficit to win in five games. Alex Robinson and Ben Foss were untroubled during the encounter with straight game wins across the board, as was Butler during his straight game win over Chris Londesbrough.
The youthful Ravenscroft One island first team are on the verge of promotion after a superb weekend in the penulutimate weekend of the Senior British National League. Ravenscroft One white-washed both Derwent and Bankfield 'ITC II 8-0 in Division 4 North and going into the last round they stay unbeaten at the top with a 100% record.
Derwent were up first and they were missing their number one player, Michael Wilcockson. Robert Owen took the helm for the opposition and he came the closest to preventing the brush during his five-set defeats against both Joshua Stacey (pictured) and Joshua Butler.
