Guernsey finished the first ever Home Countries International tournament in a creditable 5th place overall. After 3 days of high level table tennis against teams from England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, the Isle of Man and Jersey, the Sarnians finished ahead of Jersey and the Isle of Man
Notable performances include Ben Foss claiming an excellent bronze medal in the Junior Boys individual event after his run to the semi-final was halted by the Scot Calum Morrison. Garry Dodd was ranked 8th in the Senior Men but had a tough draw and after beating Tyler Gosselin in the first round, he was defeated by No 2 seed Matthew Leete from England. His men's team partner Josh Stacey was defeated by Dean Cundy in Round 1 in the new straight-knockout format. The women's pair of Kay Chivers and Charlotte Casey had a good weekend finishing 5th by virtue of 3-2 wins against Jersey and the Isle of Man.
