2013 Island Championships Day 5

Men's Doubles

Top seeds Garry Dodd and Joshua Butler retained their unbeaten record this season to reach the final where they will meet 3rd seeds Scott Romeril and Jez Powell.

Dodd and Butler were on top form throughout the evening and dropped just the single leg to Mark Pipet and Phil Hunkin in the Quarter finals. In the semis they comfortably beat 4th seeds Matt Stubbington and Olly Langlois in straight games.

Romeril and Powell were equally convincing during their run to the final, also dropping just the single leg in the process. The leg in question was dropped against the 5th seeded Stacey twins, Lawrence and Joshua in the semi finals. The twins had earlier recorded a thrilling 6 game win to upset 2nd seeds Phil Ogier and Adam Langlois in the Quarters.

Women's Doubles

The top pairings in the form of Dawn Morgan/Kay Chivers and Paula Le Ber/Sam Kershaw made their way to the final of the event.

Morgan and Chivers ran out straight game winners over Becks O'Keefe and Daisy Kershaw in one semi and Le Ber and Kershaw defeated Emma and Hayley Webb by the same score in the other.
