Men's Singles

CI number 1 Garry Dodd (pictured) will bid for his 6th consecutive Island Men's Singles Crown when he meets Phil Ogier in the final.

Dodd's closest encounter came in the Round of 16 where he was extended to 6 games by Paul Hainsworth. From there he raised his level and put an end to 7th seed Lawrence Stacey in a 5 game quarter final. In the semi finals he took no prisoners against 5th seed Adam Langlois where powered through in straight games.

In the bottom half of the draw, Ogier made comfortable progress to the Quarter Finals where he met 6th seed Matt Stubbington. Stubbington played some patient attacking table tennis and pressed Ogier hard before going down in 5 games. Ogier's opponent in the semi finals was Scott Romeril, who had earlier come through a tough clash with the rapidly improving junior Alex Robinson in 6 games. Romeril was far from his best in the semi and Ogier comfortably won in straight games to make the final.

An early upset came in the form of Mark Pipet's 7 game win over 4th seed Jez Powell. Pipet went on to reach the Quarter Finals before losing out to Langlois over 5 hard fought games.

Women's Singles

Top seed Alice Loveridge will look to obtain her 6th Island Women's crown when she comes up against 2nd seeded Dawn Morgan.

Loveridge's progress to the final was made to look easy as she breezed past Hayley Webb and Sam Kershaw without losing a leg.

Mogan mirrored Loveridge's feat during her straight game wins over Becks O'Keefe and Kay Chivers.
