League leaders Cenkos Panthers A extended
their lead at the top of the 1st division with a tight 6-4 victory over 3rd
placed Whistlers B. Olly Langlois was in impressive form and won all 3 of his
singles encounters against Dawn Morgan, Jez Powell and Martin Sarre. Langlois'
elder brother Adam defeated both Morgan and Powell and also teamed up with his
sibling to win the vital doubles encounter over Morgan and Sarre in a closely
contested straight games victory. Each of the Whistlers players added victories
over Panthers reserve Stefan Sayer in straight games and Sarre was also on hand
to record an excellent 4 game victory over Adam Langlois. Whistlers A closed
the gap on their B side with a comfortable 8-2 victory over Specsavers. Mark
Pipet spearheaded the victory, defeating both Mark Fallaize and Neil Hastie. He
also teamed up with Martyn Gaudion to defeat the Specsavers pair in a straight
games doubles victory. Fallaize spared the blushes by defeating both Gaudion
and Hunkin. Specsavers forfeited 3 games due to the absence of their 3rd player
Jeremy Tan.

Division 3
Lions H remain unbeaten at the top of the
3rd division, however they dropped their second points of the season following
a 5-5 stalemate with Whistlers L. For the league leaders, Lionel Jones defeated
both Alex Bott and Harry Lewis, Graham Mallett defeated Bott and Steve Davies
and reserve Jay Saha chipped in with an important straight game victory over
Davies. Lewis was the best performer for the Whistlers side, defeating both
Mallett and Saha. St Pauls B capitalised on the slip-up and now lie just a
single point behind the leaders after a workmanlike 7-3 victory over Whistlers
H. Derek Carter and John Wills were both instrumental in the victory, each
defeating Steve Martin, Ric Gale and reserve Sam King. They also teamed up to
defeat Martin and Gale in a straight games doubles victory. Each of the
Whistlers players recorded victories over Connor
Gaudion.
Division 4
Whistlers M remain at the top of the 4th
division following a comprehensive 9-1 victory over Whistlers N. James Rabey,
Dave Herquin and Ben Rolph each won their 3 singles encounters over Sam De
Garis and reserve Tim Doughty. De Garis and Doughty saved the whitewash by
defeating Rabey and Rolph in a tight straight games doubles victory. Whistlers
M also gained 3 matches via walkover due to the absence of Matt Ozanne.
