The Guernsey Table Tennis Association are pleased to announce the appointment of Otilia Bădescu as the new Table Tennis Development Officer.  Born in Romania, she is replacing Becks O'Keefe, who after 14 years in Guernsey has decided to return to Wales to seek further opportunities.

Otilia had a stellar career as professional table tennis player between 1986 and 2005, with highlights including 5 European Championship gold medals in singles, mixed doubles and as part of the Romanian team, as well as 3 bronze medals at World Championships in 1991, 1993 & 2000.  After retiring from playing professionally, she embarked on a coaching career which has most recently seen her coaching at the renowned Bristol Academy.

Otilia will take over responsibility for the GTTA junior coaching sessions and we would like to welcome her to Guernsey.
